Since being elected in 2021, Mark has worked alongside fellow Councillors and the Mayor to achieve meaningful progress for Palmerston. Some key highlights from his first term include:

• Road and drainage upgrades across several suburbs, improving safety and accessibility

• Supporting local jobs and small business through smart procurement and community partnerships

• Strong budget management, helping deliver key services without unnecessary rate hikes

• Championing better parks, playgrounds, and green spaces — creating places for families to connect

• Serving as Deputy Mayor and Acting Mayor, stepping up when called upon and delivering steady leadership

• Being present and accessible — always listening to residents, answering questions, and taking action

 

Mark’s practical, down-to-earth approach has earned him trust across the community. He believes that when Councillors work for the people — not just the position — real results follow.

• Strengthen support for youth, seniors, and multicultural communities through inclusive programs and facilities

• Back local businesses and apprenticeships — keeping money and skills in Palmerston

• Stand up for transparency and accountability at all levels of Council decision-making
